Patient Actuated Serial Stretch

  1. PASS occurs when a patient is able to stack multiple static progressive stretches within a specified treatment time.
  2. PASS is characterized by rest periods between each static progressive stretch of complete joint rest with the ability to fully extend or flex the joint.
  3. PASS provides rest for the articular cartilage placed under pressure during an extended stretch to prevent joint damage.
